My name is Steve. You might know me from our partner site No Hire Needed (nohireneeded.com). Check out my introduction video below if you like. I started Solo Money Stack for the same reason I started No HIre Needed, because I got tired of “best tool” lists built to earn a click instead of actually helping you. I run a business of one myself, so I know the bind: there’s always more work than there is of you, and no budget to hire it out. So I research and evaluate the money tools solopreneurs and small business teams actually rely on, from business banking and cards to invoicing and bookkeeping, and I tell you straight when one isn’t worth it.
Why this exists
When you’re a solopreneur or small team, your “money stack” (how you bank, how you pay, how you invoice, how you keep the books) is the plumbing everything else runs on. Get it right and it disappears into the background. Get it wrong and you’re chasing late payments, bleeding fees you never noticed, and dreading tax season.
Most advice out there is written for companies with finance departments, or it’s a wall of “top 10” lists built to rank, not to help. SoloMoneyStack is the opposite: every recommendation is filtered through one question: would this actually help a business of one or small team?, and written by someone who runs one. More about that.
The money stack, in four (plus one) pieces
- 🏦 Business Banking: Fee-free accounts, fast payouts, and no-minimum options built for solopreneurs and small business.
- 💳 Business Cards: Cards that separate business from personal, build history, and earn on the spend you already have.
- 🧾 Invoicing: Get paid faster with tools that send, track, and chase invoices for you.
- 📚 Bookkeeping: Keep clean books without a bookkeeper, and walk into tax season calm.
- 🧰 All-in-One: Prefer one tool that does several jobs? Accounts that also handle your books, invoices, and taxes.
